Open source has been transforming the industry. Small startups as well as large companies like Intel are collaborating to innovate on technologies such as virtualization or manageability. For most startups, the engagement with large companies is rewarding as well as overwhelming. The joint goal is to get to a shipping product, faster. Will the value outweigh the costs of engaging?
